New Project 'MOD' to Modify Base Models

'MOD (Mod)' is a project that modifies base models to draw out new possibilities. By incorporating the latest acoustic design developed by final into products in the shortest time, it will produce products with a variety of sounds different from previous final.

Stainless Body by MIM (Metal Injection Molding)

MIM is a method that mixes metal micropowder and binder, forms it in a mold like plastic, then sinters it at high temperature to shape it. Similar to plastic molded products, it has high freedom of shape, allowing complex internal designs in metal. This model is polished to a mirror finish after molding.
The surface features a MOD logo, and the side has a model number laser engraved.

New Acoustic Design Utilizing Driver Configuration

MAKE MOD1.1 utilizes a driver configuration of one armature driver for high frequencies and two for mid-low frequencies, totaling three, to create a more gorgeous and clear sound quality.

MMCX Silver Coated Cable

The high-purity OFC silver-coated cable, which expands the soundstage, is a collaborative development with the renowned Yukoh Co., known for developing and manufacturing cables for the supercomputer 'Kei' that pursue signal transmission speed.

Input: 3.5mm, 3-pole
Output: MMCX, straight type

Customized Fit Like No Other

Whether an earphone fits well depends on the sense of pressure. By setting an ergonomically advantageous curve, the shape that should touch the ear becomes a support by pressure, accumulating fatigue over time. We reconsidered the basics and came to a concept of holding at two points, supporting without slipping at one point. Like three legs, holding at three points stabilizes the fit. The green part in the figure (earpiece) at one point, the blue part (earring) at one point, and the pink part (earhook: part of the ear concha) at one point, totaling three points. Adopting a fitting method where the earphone touches the pink part (earhook: part of the ear concha) to support the earphone from falling, it provides a more suitable fit without pressure for more people's ears. Without the sense of pressure in the fit, one can feel the earphone fit is so comfortable as if it were customized.

Original Earpieces with Left-Right Axis Color Difference

Two types of silicone materials with different hardness are used for the sound conduit and the part that touches the ear. By grooving the silicone with higher hardness in the sound conduit part compared to the part that touches the ear, both strength and flexibility are achieved. The part that touches the ear uses soft silicone, realizing comfortable wearing and high sound insulation. By making one side gray and the other side red, the axis color of the earpieces can be confirmed, making it easy to distinguish left and right even in dim places. Furthermore, the adjacent sizes have different axis colors (gray axis alternates between thick and thin gray, red axis alternates between red and pink), making size distinction easier. Comes in five sizes: SS/S/M/L/LL, allowing selection according to preference.

Ear Fit That Eliminates Cable Touch Noise

Traditional products of the same type assumed fitting on various sizes of ears, resulting in larger sizes that stood out visually and required considerable acclimatization for wearing. We re-examined the key parts of ear-fit wearing and discovered a shape that fits more easily on more people's ears with smaller sizes than traditional ear-fit, without using metal or plastic wires. Realizing a comfortable fit that makes you forget you're wearing them. No problem with wearing glasses. Cable touch noise, which occurs when the cable touches the body while walking, is dramatically reduced.
