・Development of the binaural recording dedicated earphone "E500"

It was widely known that listening to ASMR or binaural recording sound sources with conventional earphones or headphones caused a unique discomfort in the high-frequency range. Although the cause was understood among acoustics researchers, there were hardly any successful examples of effective countermeasures. In this context, in August 2019, our research and development team adopted a new approach to create the "E500" earphone, faithfully reproducing the sound color, spatial image, and sound direction intended by the creator.

・The "E500" that became a topic for its liveliness of sound

The sound quality of the "E500" is so lively that you can feel not only the performer's voice and breaths but also the sense of distance from the microphone and the direction of speech, making it a hot topic on social media as the "edgy earphone." Especially in ASMR content and 3D game production sites, it has started to be adopted as a monitor earphone for sound checks. Nowadays, among ASMR fans, the "E500" is widely loved as a staple ASMR earphone.

・Challenge to wireless conversion

On the other hand, there were many requests for the wireless conversion of the "E500," but wireless requires integrating the base and battery into the body, making it not easy to achieve the same sound quality as wired. Therefore, by integrating the earphone and headphone sound quality tuning technology cultivated by final and the ag brand, we have evolved the "E500" into the completely wireless earphone "COTSUBU for ASMR" and "COTSUBU for ASMR 3D" specifically for ASMR, released by the ag brand. Moreover, the knowledge gained from these was utilized in the development of the ASMR dedicated wireless earphone "ZE500 for ASMR" of the final brand.

Unique sound quality design optimized for ASMR content by final

Through the unique acoustics research of final, a new ASMR-specific sound quality focusing on the reproduction of "voice" was developed. Utilizing the insights cultivated with the wireless earphone "COTSUBU for ASMR" (ag brand), we realized sound that pursues a deep sense of immersion in content enjoying voices and sounds at close range. This product particularly emphasizes the natural reproduction of the "voice" range at close range, making it comfortable for long listening sessions, such as ASMR, radio, streaming, and audiobooks. Compared to the "COTSUBU for ASMR" series, the overall resolution of the sound space is higher, and it excels in the sense of sound separation, allowing for a three-dimensional image where the background BGM stands out clearly from the voice during live streaming, as if you can see the speaker's mouth movements.

Ultra-compact size reduced by 35% compared to COTSUBU

Aiming for "earphones that can be used comfortably even while sleeping," we successfully reduced the volume by about 35% compared to the well-reputed ultra-small earphone ag brand COTSUBU. We adopted the "ultra-compact & ultra-lightweight housing" that updates our smallest design record.

Furthermore, the one-piece soft earpiece design achieves an ideal fit with zero pressure sensation at the ear entrance, ensuring that even if the ear is pressed by a pillow or cushion, there is hardly any foreign body sensation, and it is structured to stay in place even when changing positions while sleeping. While the "COTSUBU for ASMR" series is designed to insert deeply into the ear canal, the "ZE500 for ASMR" is designed with a shallower insertion depth, making it even easier to keep wearing.

Equipped with "ASMR mode" that can turn off tap sounds and guidance voice

To prevent erroneous touch operations that occur when accidentally touching the earphone body, this product adopts a touch sensor. Furthermore, it is equipped with "ASMR mode" that disables tap operations and guidance voices. Please use it when you want to prevent erroneous touches or want to immerse yourself more in content like ASMR.

Fine volume adjustment possible with "volume step optimization"

The volume that feels appropriate varies greatly from person to person, and especially in quiet spaces such as bedtime, sensitivity to volume can be heightened. On the other hand, with smartphone volume operations, the change in volume per step can be too large, sometimes not achieving the desired volume. By performing "volume step optimization" from the dedicated app, this product allows for easy fine volume adjustments.

"ASMR Port" Designed for Long-Term Use

Developed the "ASMR Port" considering long-term use, such as during sleep or when watching streams. By adjusting the increasing pressure inside the ear canal, it alleviates the burden on the eardrum and also reduces the load on the internal driver. Additionally, it makes the inside of the ear canal less stuffy, allowing you to use it comfortably for extended periods.
